One piece swimsuits are having a comeback or should I say they are having a serious moment! – Yey finally I say!
Before you race out to get your new one piece from Santa, it’s important to know what style suits your body shape and you need to know what style will highlight those assets that you have!
Firstly ladies a little tan always helps make your bathing suit / togs / swimwear look better. I’m not recommending you bake in the sun but try some Eco tan, you can simply go online and it can be delivered straight to your door, packaged beautifully as well. Vanilla Bloom is an online natural boutique which has natural beauty products. Slightly tanned skin in your bathing suit just makes you look and feel slimmer!
To be honest I hadn’t really realised one-piece swimsuits had gone out, I’ve always loved them and when I think of a one piece I picture classy French Women on the French Riviera under their beautiful flouncy hats and Jimmy Choo’s sipping champagne. Somehow I just think one-pieces are just a little chicer than a bikini.
So, as we like to dress for our unique body shape so too should we bathe in swimsuits that suit our body shape.
Here’s a few pointers :
- Top heavy & small hips – you need to balance ; look for support and a high cut leg
- Boyish – slim hips and small chest – you want to add curves ; look for tops with ruffles and eye-catching prints
- Voluptuous – Curvy/Hourglass shape ; you want to whittle your waist down ; choose dark colours & perhaps nipped in waists
- Pear Shaped / bottom heavy – you want to balance your proportions ; choose full bottomed pants and patterns that draw the eye upward.
Wearing a bathing suit is basically like strutting around in underwear so let’s do ourselves a favour and get it right so that we can maintain our confidence. I hope this helps your sunny days and helps enhance your beautiful shape in your summer togs.
So gorgeous gals…. happy sunny, confident days in your bathers.
Yours in style,
