Trends, by definition, come and go as they please, I sit and watch with an eager eye and often think some are better left alone. Some trends come and go very quickly and some just fade away – thank goodness.
Going forward for 2019, I am saying au revoir, to some trends and happily welcoming new ones. In addition to the laundry list of trends I will be ditching this year, I will list some trends I may be investing in.
So, here it is the GOOD & the BAD;
My Outs:
Cheerio mini skirts and farewell ballet flats.
I predict the all-sheer looks are heading out as well.
I am ready to hang my oversize, padded jackets with the strong shoulders and adopt a softer shoulder going forward.
My Ins:
50 shades of beige, head to toe blended with dreamy pastels shades. I’m also a fan of bold colours even the occasional neon piece in my wardrobe.
Built in jewellery incorporated into clothing and handbags, a little bit of bling! Polished structured bags.
Animal prints are still here, even more fashionable is mixing other prints with them & layering them.
(Versace Pre-Fall 2019)
Biker shorts and capri denims as well.
Boilersuits and cargo pants for utility-chic dressing—both practical and trendy.
Suits, suits, and more suits; forefront thought for me is a more fluid silhouette and fresh tailoring.
The not-so-basic basic hoops or long earrings to add some dazzle to every outfit.
How’s that… I have less ‘OUTS’ than ‘INS’ – spectacular! I hope this means more inspiration for you.
Maybe you are a Trendsetter and already wearing some of these looks, I would love to hear from you.
If you would like to have some shopping time I am always taking appointments so please drop me a line.
Enjoy these fresh looks and inspiration.
Yours in style,
Johanna-May xx
