- Do you spend too much time deciding what to wear?
- Is your wardrobe a fashion minefield?
- Are you spending too much on clothes that you hardly wear?
If so, you need to consider creating a CAPSULE WARDROBE. More about quality than quantity, it is a small collection of carefully chosen pieces that will form the backbone of your wardrobe, through the seasons, year on year. Not high fashion, it’s more about investing in classic items that you can update with cheaper on-trend pieces
You’ll quickly find that you’re saving time, money and stress, and getting dressed has become less of a chore and more of a pleasure.
Capsule wardrobes have been around for decades but they’re hard to put together because limiting yourself and being quite disciplined is tricky with fashion – we want nice things and lots of them!
Aim for a working wardrobe with key staples that interact with all your other pieces to create lots of different looks.
With “fast fashion” and transient trends to lead us astray, I admit that the capsule wardrobe isn’t for everyone.
Some people want clothes en masse, others want to be on-trend every single season and then there are those who want to adopt a certain look.
The capsule wardrobe is for women who always want to look and feel stylish, whatever the season. The aim is to have an outfit suitable for every occasion without owning excessive items of clothing. This is usually achieved by buying “key” or “staple” items in co-ordinating colours.
